The Watch of The Lord

GHOP-STL will host THE WATCH OF THE LORD the second Friday of each month from 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM. Worship teams and intercessors from every denomination, congregation, and generation are invited to join together in unified adoration and petition before the Throne of God.

Teams will lead for two-hour sets, mingling worship and intercession
throughout the entire set. We welcome each unique style and expression
of worship and prayer, knowing that our unified diversity pleases the
Father's heart.

Purpose - To Reclaim the Night for the Lord

The night is particularly filled with all sorts of unfruitful deeds of
darkness; murder, sorcery, theft, and immorality. (Revelations 9:21)

We want the night to belong to the Lord, even if we begin just one
night per month. Fragrance is released as we give Him our love and our
devotion in the night. This changes the spiritual atmosphere over our
city. "Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard,
anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the
house was filled with the fragrance of the oil (John 12:3)."
Mary is a
picture of extravagant devotion. While extravagant devotion is costly,
the very mention of the cost is utterly despised. (Song of Songs 8:7)
The call to the WATCH OF THE LORD is a call to extravagant devotion. To
a generation being romanced by the counterfeit passions of the night, we
want to stand as one of many ministries providing an environment where
people can experience the true passions of God's heart and partner with
the Holy Spirit in establishing His will in St. Louis. Come and stand
in the place of adoration and prayer in the WATCH OF THE LORD. The
night belongs to the Lord in St. Louis!

How to Get Involved

It takes a city to lift a city-wide canopy of prayer. There are a number of ways to participate in this city-wide watch:

1. Commit your church or youth group worship team to a two-hour watch
during the consecrated 8 hours each month
2. Promote THE WATCH OF THE LORD in your church, praying circles, and
website
3. Come stand on the wall with our brothers and sisters in St. Louis!

To commit your worship team to a two-hour watch or for more information, please contact Caleb Scofield, Coordinator for THE WATCH OF THE LORD at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
